About Us.

creating magic with a mic
& a pen.

Stories have the power to bring us together. A profound story can transform, transport, and change lives. At Tales from Willow Grove, our goal is to bring the magic of storytelling to life — to make storytelling magic with words, narration, music, and soundscapes.

Together, husband and wife pair Brenton and Marie combine their audio engineering and writing skills to bring stories to life. When you click play, you’ll be transported to an immersive storyscape as the words and sounds combine to bring the stories from our hearts to your ears.

An Emmy Award-Winning audio engineer, Brenton pours his passion for music and audio into all of his work. Whether recording an orchestral score, field work, or post-production, his heart for creating meaningful experiences through the power of sound shines through.

Currently, Brenton is an audio engineer at PBS Utah, while also working as a freelance engineer. When not sitting behind a console, Brenton enjoys writing and playing music. At the age of thirteen, Brenton began playing the drums and has since expanded his musical expertise to include guitar, bass, and piano.

From summers at camp to teaching in the classroom, Marie (Ree to her family and friends) has long believed in the transformative power of words and storytelling. You’ll often find her with a pen in hand or clacking away behind her keyboard.

Marie began her career in the classroom and brings the lessons she learned from her students into her work today as a Project Manager. On the weekends you’ll find her at the craft store, cheering on her local MLS soccer team (RSL), or spending time with Bella, Brenton & Marie’s 15-year old Beagle.
